Cette ligne est ouverte en 1846 par la\u00a0<a title=\"Compagnie des chemins de fer du Nord\" href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Compagnie_des_chemins_de_fer_du_Nord\">Compagnie des chemins de fer du Nord<\/a><\/p>\n<p>D\u00e8s 1854, le b\u00e2timent s\u2019av\u00e8re inadapt\u00e9. Cette gare ne poss\u00e8de que deux voies vite satur\u00e9es. \u00a0Le b\u00e2timent est en partie d\u00e9mont\u00e9 en 1860 pour laisser place \u00e0 la gare actuelle. La construction dure de <span class=\"nowrap\">mai 1861<\/span>\u00a0\u00e0\u00a0<span class=\"nowrap\">d\u00e9cembre 1865<\/span>, mais la nouvelle gare est mise en service d\u00e8s 1864. Le nombre de voies est port\u00e9 \u00e0 huit. Avec la rapide progression de la fr\u00e9quentation, qui passe de six \u00e0 sept millions de voyageurs de 1875 \u00e0 1885, le nombre de voies augmente de nouveau. Il passe de treize en 1875 \u00e0 dix-huit en 1889, pour l&rsquo;exposition universelle de Paris. En 1900, pour une nouvelle exposition universelle, le nombre atteint vingt-huit voies. \u00c0 partir de 1906 et 1908, elle est desservie par le m\u00e9tro.<\/p>\n<p>Comme d&rsquo;autres gares parisiennes, elle devient rapidement trop petite face au d\u00e9veloppement du trafic ferroviaire. D&rsquo;autres extensions ont lieu entre les ann\u00e9es 1930 et 1960.<\/p>\n<p>D\u00e8s la d\u00e9claration de guerre en\u00a0<time class=\"nowrap\" datetime=\"1939-09\" data-sort-value=\"1939-09\">septembre 1939<\/time>, la gare conna\u00eet une baisse drastique de fr\u00e9quentation, avec la suppression du trafic international et la forte diminution du trafic de grandes lignes et de banlieue. De 1940 \u00e0 1944, Paris-Nord, ainsi que sa voisine Paris-Est, est largement investie par l&rsquo;arm\u00e9e allemande\u00a0: ces gares desservent en effet l&rsquo;Allemagne, ainsi que les pays voisins occup\u00e9s<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;\u00e9lectrification progressive du r\u00e9seau Nord durant les ann\u00e9es 1950 et 1960 am\u00e8ne la r\u00e9gion nord de la SNCF \u00e0 proc\u00e9der en 1957 \u00e0 un nouveau remaniement. Celui-ci consiste en un allongement des quais de grandes lignes.<\/p>\n<p>La traction vapeur dispara\u00eet d\u00e9finitivement de la banlieue nord, mais \u00e9galement de la banlieue parisienne en 1970. Le dernier train \u00e0 vapeur partira de la gare du Nord le 12\/12\/1970.<\/p>\n<p>En 1993, l&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e du TGV Nord Europe puis, en 1994, des trains Eurostar impose une nouvelle campagne de travaux. Ceux-ci portent sur une r\u00e9organisation des voies, avec allongement \u00e0 405 m\u00e8tres des quais de treize voies.<\/p>\n<p>Depuis 2018, un important chantier visant \u00e0 r\u00e9am\u00e9nager et r\u00e9organiser la gare est conduit par la SNCF. Il s&rsquo;agit notamment d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer les flux de voyageurs, de cr\u00e9er des nouveaux commerces, et, de mani\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer l&rsquo;ambiance des lieux. Couronne de type A5.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Le 27\/03\/1938 est cr\u00e9e le centre de tri Paris aviation \u00e0 l&rsquo;a\u00e9roport du Bourget. Avec le second conflit mondial, l&rsquo;a\u00e9rogare du Bourget devient une cible strat\u00e9gique. L&rsquo;a\u00e9roport est bombard\u00e9 puis occup\u00e9 par la Luftwaffe qui s&#8217;empresse de repeindre les b\u00e2timents pour les camoufler. \u00c0 leur tour, les alli\u00e9s vont s&rsquo;acharner sur les b\u00e2timents et d\u00e9vaster les hangars. Les Allemands sont chass\u00e9s du Bourget en 1944 et il faudra attendre 1946 pour que le Bourget retrouve une activit\u00e9 pleine et enti\u00e8re. Le centre de tri est d\u00e9plac\u00e9 rue de Clignancourt \u00e0 Paris. Celui-ci existe depuis la fermeture de celui de la gare du Nord. Au fil des ann\u00e9es son personnel a \u00e9t\u00e9 renouvel\u00e9 en partie par l&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e d&rsquo;agents venant de services ferm\u00e9s \u00e9galement : ambulants, bureaux des gares parisiens. Cela s&rsquo;est traduit par de nombreuses suppressions d&#8217;emplois et par le fait que de nombreux postiers maintenant au Landy ont connu trois ou quatre fermetures de services, et \u00e0 chaque fois un mal-vivre croissant. C&rsquo;est dire que\u00a0<span class=\"highLight\">l&rsquo;annonce de la fermeture du Landy pour le 1er octobre 2002<\/span>\u00a0a bouscul\u00e9 bien des esprits ! Si une cellule mobilit\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 mise en place pour l&rsquo;occasion, nombre de personnels d\u00e9noncent le fait que celle-ci agit sans tenir compte de l&rsquo;aspect humain et font part de dysfonctionnements. Les syndicats font observer que la direction du courrier international de La Poste refuse pour l&rsquo;heure de communiquer la moindre information sur le devenir du site du Landy apr\u00e8s sa fermeture. D\u00e8s le mois de mai, les \u00e9lus communistes du conseil de Paris ont pos\u00e9 la question du devenir du site, sans obtenir le moindre renseignement. On ne peut envisager l&rsquo;abandon d&rsquo;un tel site public, et encore moins qu&rsquo;il fasse l&rsquo;objet d&rsquo;une vente \u00e0 des promoteurs immobiliers comme c&rsquo;est malheureusement le cas pour les foyers postaux. La fermeture du Landy enl\u00e8vera 400 emplois dans le 18e arrondissement, d\u00e9j\u00e0 durement touch\u00e9 par le ch\u00f4mage et la pr\u00e9carit\u00e9, alors que parall\u00e8lement La Poste, service public, a malheureusement de plus en plus recours aux heures suppl\u00e9mentaires et aux soci\u00e9t\u00e9s d&rsquo;int\u00e9rim. Cette logique ne peut qu&rsquo;aggraver les retards de distribution, les attentes aux guichets, les suppressions de tourn\u00e9es, etc., qui malheureusement font partie du quotidien des usagers de La Poste. Par ailleurs c&rsquo;est seulement au premier semestre de 2004 qu&rsquo;un nouveau service doit prendre le relais du Landy et qui sera op\u00e9rationnel \u00e0 Roissy. Il serait logique qu&rsquo;en attendant son ouverture le travail continue dans le 18e. Cela permettrait \u00e0 de nombreux postiers &#8211; \u00e0 un ou deux ans de la retraite &#8211; de ne pas aller encore \u00e0 un autre endroit, apprendre un nouveau m\u00e9tier et avoir des horaires bien diff\u00e9rents de ceux qu&rsquo;ils ont aujourd&rsquo;hui. Elle lui demande ce qu&rsquo;il compte faire pour aller dans ce sens. Elle lui demande \u00e9galement le r\u00e9tablissement d&rsquo;un v\u00e9ritable dialogue avec les personnels qui pour nombre d&rsquo;entre eux ne se sentent pas respect\u00e9s ni associ\u00e9s aux d\u00e9cisions. Elle lui demande enfin de lui faire savoir ce que les pouvoirs publics envisagent de faire du site une fois vid\u00e9 de ses activit\u00e9s. C&rsquo;est donc une ann\u00e9e compl\u00e8te qui sera consacr\u00e9e au reclassement des agents du Landy. Une cellule de mobilit\u00e9 et de r\u00e9orientation a \u00e9t\u00e9 mise en place d\u00e8s le mois de mai 2001 pour se consacrer \u00e0 l&rsquo;accompagnement des agents du Landy. Cette cellule travaille de concert avec les responsables du centre, le m\u00e9decin de pr\u00e9vention et les assistantes sociales pour prendre en compte tous les aspects humains et sociaux afin de faire \u00e0 chaque personne concern\u00e9e la meilleure proposition possible au regard de chaque situation individuelle. La cellule de mobilit\u00e9 et de r\u00e9orientation travaille \u00e9galement en \u00e9troite collaboration avec les services des ressources humaines des directions de La Poste implant\u00e9es en Ile-de-France pour recueillir des offres de postes correspondant au mieux aux souhaits des agents du Landy et pour accompagner l&rsquo;accueil et l&rsquo;int\u00e9gration des agents reclass\u00e9s dans les nouveaux postes. Tout un dispositif de mesures d&rsquo;accompagnement a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en place, plus particuli\u00e8rement des mesures d&rsquo;\u00e2ge pour accompagner les agents du Landy souhaitant arr\u00eater leur activit\u00e9 professionnelle. Par ailleurs, \u00e0 la demande des organisations professionnelles, pour les agents du Landy qui sont \u00e0 un ou deux ans de la retraite, il est propos\u00e9 un poste pour exercer le m\u00eame type d&rsquo;activit\u00e9 avec le m\u00eame horaire dans le centre de traitement du courrier international situ\u00e9 actuellement \u00e0 Roissy. Ainsi, dans le cadre des objectifs fix\u00e9s concernant la r\u00e9alisation du sch\u00e9ma directeur du courrier international, tout est mis en \u0153uvre pour accompagner professionnellement, humainement et socialement l&rsquo;ensemble des agents du Landy en situation de reclassement. Les organisations professionnelles sont r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement r\u00e9unies et tenues inform\u00e9es de l&rsquo;\u00e9tat d&rsquo;avancement du projet, de la situation, et des actions envisag\u00e9es. <span class=\"highLight\">A la fermeture, le 30 septembre 2002, le site du Landy<\/span>\u00a0sera remis \u00e0 la direction de l&rsquo;immobilier de La Poste qui en
