La distance qui s\u00e9pare Abidjan de Ouagadougou repr\u00e9sente 1147 km.<\/p>\n<p>Toutes les colonies qui ont construit un chemin de fer, font appel au G\u00e9nie. La premi\u00e8re \u00e9tude fut confi\u00e9e \u00e0 la mission Houdaille en 1898. Mais c&rsquo;est la mission Aron en 1901 qui sera d\u00e9terminante pour le futur trac\u00e9 du chemin de fer et la r\u00e9alisation en sera donn\u00e9e au capitaine Crosson-Dupl\u00e9ssis pour les premiers 80 km de ligne. les commandes en seront donn\u00e9es ensuite au capitaine Calmel pour poursuivre le trac\u00e9 jusqu&rsquo;au P.K. 181. En 1923, la mission Colomb va poursuivre le trac\u00e9 vers Bobo-Dioulasso. Puis c&rsquo;est au tour de la mission Daude en 1927 de continuer ce trac\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>La mission Jaur\u00e8s en 1930 rend ses conclusions pour poursuivre le trac\u00e9 du chemin de fer en pays Mossi. Mais la crise de 1929 met un frein \u00e0 la poursuite des travaux. C&rsquo;est le ministre des colonies George Mandel, qui en 1938, donnera son aval pour poursuivre les travaux \u00e0 la suite d&rsquo;une nouvelle mission d&rsquo;\u00e9tude Daude. Il devrait \u00eatre \u00e0 deux chiffres: 04. Il n&rsquo;y a pas de localisation de commune \u00e0 part le nom de la colonie.<\/p>\n<p>D&rsquo;apr\u00e8s le Dr. Grabowski, cette oblit\u00e9ration \u00e9tait utilis\u00e9e par le personnel civil du chemin de fer.<\/p>\n<p>Il est fortement possible de cet \u00e9tat de fait mais une chose est probable, c&rsquo;est que le courrier devait \u00eatre affranchi avant d&rsquo;\u00eatre remis au chef de gare ou au premier train partant pour Abidjan (\u00e0 partir de 1905). Vu une deuxi\u00e8me lettre avec la m\u00eame oblit\u00e9ration dat\u00e9e du 20 juillet de la m\u00eame ann\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Pour cette lettre du 29\/03\/1904, au regard des travaux commenc\u00e9s en f\u00e9vrier 1904 et de la premi\u00e8re locomotive non mont\u00e9e, livr\u00e9e en ao\u00fbt 1904, je la pense remise \u00e0 un porteur pour \u00eatre donner au bureau d&rsquo;Abidjan ouvert le 01\/03\/1904. Il faut pr\u00e9sumer \u00e9galement qu&rsquo;un bureau de troisi\u00e8me cat\u00e9gorie \u00e9tait en exercice sur cet embryon de ligne de chemin de fer et cette supposition ne peut \u00eatre \u00e9tayer que par le bulletin officiel de la c\u00f4te d&rsquo;Ivoire de cette ann\u00e9e l\u00e0. Bref je ne suis sur de rien \u00e0 ce jour. Cette ligne est en exploitation en 1907, elle est plac\u00e9e sous la direction du capitaine Thomasset. En 1908, le rail est pos\u00e9 \u00e0 Ti\u00e9m\u00e9l\u00e9kro, 4000 personnes travaillent \u00e0 la construction de cette ligne. Le sergent Rubino y perdra la vie. La gare de Niangbo est ouverte au trafic en 1926. le 1er janvier 1928 le tron\u00e7on Niangbo-Tafire est ouvert \u00e0 l&rsquo;exploitation puis jusque Ferkess\u00e9dougou le 23 novembre1929. C&rsquo;est ensuite le tron\u00e7on\u00a0Ferkess\u00e9dougou-Ouangolodougou qui entre en exploitation le 1er juin 1931. Les travaux reprennent en 1939 o\u00f9 7000 personnes \u0153uvrent dans ce chantier d\u00e9but 40, mais les travaux sont compl\u00e9tement arr\u00eat\u00e9s fin 1941 car plus aucun mat\u00e9riaux et mat\u00e9riels n&rsquo;arrivent de la m\u00e9tropole \u00e0 cause de la seconde guerre mondiale. Le travail reprend en 1946 avec des difficult\u00e9s d&rsquo;approvisionnement qui dur\u00e8rent jusque d\u00e9but 1950. Le 15 d\u00e9cembre 1953 le tron\u00e7on Bobo-Dioulasso-Koudougou est ouvert \u00e0 l&rsquo;exploitation. Le 23 octobre 1954 le rail atteint son terminus \u00e0 Ouagadougou.
