Les convoyeurs-lignes sont appel\u00e9s ainsi car les deux bouts de la ligne sont inscrits dans la couronne. Toute une s\u00e9rie d&rsquo;oblit\u00e9ration destin\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;Alsace-Lorraine en 1919 va \u00eatre dot\u00e9e d&rsquo;une couronne d&rsquo;ambulant et une autre s\u00e9rie d&rsquo;une couronne de convoyeur \u00e0 partir de 1920 sans que l&rsquo;on en connaisse la raison. Voir les catalogues de Jean et de Vincent Pothion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oblit\u00e9ration ferroviaire d&rsquo;Alsace et de la Lorraine<\/strong>. Apr\u00e8s la fin de la 1\u00e8re guerre mondiale, l&rsquo;Alsace et la Lorraine qui \u00e9taient sous administration allemande vont \u00eatre rattach\u00e9es \u00e0 la France. Au d\u00e9but les postiers fran\u00e7ais de la poste ferroviaire vont utiliser le mat\u00e9riel allemand saisi \u00e0 l&rsquo;ennemi mais \u00e9galement le personnel allemand. D\u00e8s 1919, le mat\u00e9riel oblit\u00e9rant fran\u00e7ais sera pr\u00eat et remplacera petit \u00e0 petit le mat\u00e9riel allemand. il faut les consid\u00e9rer comme des convoyeurs et non pas comme des ambulants. Pour deux raisons:<br \/>\nl&rsquo;administration et le personnel allemand des ambulants ne faisaient pas la diff\u00e9rence entre les ambulants et les convoyeurs aussi bien dans leurs taches que dans les oblit\u00e9rations.<br \/>\nDans les oblit\u00e9rations ferroviaires fournies par l&rsquo;administration fran\u00e7aise \u00e0 partir de 1919, vous ne trouverez pas de lettre de brigade dans la couronne des ambulants.<br \/>\nEn conclusion, l&rsquo;administration des PTT a laiss\u00e9 les services tels quels avec le personnel allemand qui \u00e9tait devenu de fait un personnel
