La gare est mise en service en 1854. Bureau-gare vu de 1876 \u00e0 1922. Devient un entrep\u00f4t entre 1943 et 1975.<\/p>\n<p>Particularit\u00e9, la compagnie ferroviaire du Midi a cr\u00e9\u00e9 et d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 une \u00e9cole gratuite ouverte aux enfants des employ\u00e9s de la Compagnie du Midi, mais \u00e9galement ouverte aux enfants de Morcenx et des environs, ce qui l&rsquo;a amen\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer les \u00e9l\u00e8ves sur 27 kilom\u00e8tres dans les trois directions permises par les lignes de chemin de fer<sup id=\"cite_ref-EcoleMidi1867_8-0\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup>.
